Recently, the global trend of fidget spinners has been exploding all over the world. Here in Singapore where fidget spinners has turned from a cringe-inducing children’s toy to an expensive collectible in the form of premium fidget spinners, we have seen many teachers bemoan the loss of classroom peace as spinners are dropped left right and centre during lessons, with bearings falling onto the floor and disturbing classroom time.
In reality, fidget spinners were never intended to become a classroom nuisance. In fact, the first fidget spinners were created with high quality standards and were extremely silent toys that allowed a student to focus in class, acting as a toy that provides ADHD Stress Relief and ADD Stress Relief. It would have been the best gift for your child, a toy that allows the student to keep his hands busy and away from the various other noisy distractions that affect others around them.
However, Fidget Spinners sold on the market today have lost this quiet quality and embody properties that would be a nightmare for teachers and parents alike. LED lights instead of bearings, loud screechy bearings and many other imperfections or modifications plague the classroom, and the worst scenario is when a student attempting to balance his or her spinner in an unintended way drops it on the floor. All hell breaks lose…
We disagree that Fidget Spinners at its heart are a bad toy for children. As manufacturers of these toys ourselves (https:/spinnerway.com), we hold ourselves to a high degree of responsibility for how these toys are played with, and would never support toys that do not provide value to the child. We have been selling these toys for a few months primarily in Singapore and have the following opinions or observations to make:
Yes, Fidget Spinners may not be the best gift for your child. Cheap fidget spinners, that is! Today, you would be able to find a cheap fidget spinner at ludriculously low prices, but these are the spinners that have nightmares in problems. 30 second spin times that result in the students consistently dropping them on the floor, poorly pressed bearings that drop out at the slightest touch, and noisy, rusty steel bearings that leave both the students and teachers crying. Spinners, like every other toy, are subject to quality concerns that will drastically affect their performance and result in many issues in the classroom.
Here at spinnerway, we offer the garuantee of responsible spinner manufacturing. We will not stock anything that is of low quality just to save a few extra cents, and we certainly believe that not every spinner is equal.
From our cheaper Assassin spinners equipped with an R188 bearing promising absolute silence and smooth, long duration spinning, to our metallic series that ranges from brass spinners up to even titanium body spinners, we ensure that every spinner we sell is of a high standard that can then be called the “best gift for your child”.
No more dropping spinners and bearings in the classrooms. Heed our advice and purchase a high quality premium fidget spinner today!
